2025 PIPS XII: Genitourinary Pathology

Learning Objectives: Upon finishing this course, the participants will be able to

  1. Differentiate the mimickers of prostate cancers.
  2. Review the molecular markers of hereditary renal cell carcinoma syndromes.
  3. Accurately classify glandular lesions of the urinary tract.
  4. Recognize the subtypes of prostate carcinoma and their biomarkers.

Target Audience: Pathologists, Physicians, Surgeons and other Allied Health Professionals

8:30-9:15 am           Glandular lesions of the urinary tract: Selected problems and pitfalls. Dr Liang Cheng at Brown University

9:15-10:00 am         Grading urothelial carcinoma: Past, present, and future. Dr David Berman at Queens University

10:10-10:55 am       Cribriform morphology and intraductal carcinoma of the prostate: Differential diagnosis and clinical relevance. Dr Francesca Khani at Weill Cornell Medicine

10:55-11:40 am       Hereditary renal cell carcinoma syndromes: from pathology and beyond. Dr Chin-Lee Wu at Mass General Hospital/Harvard University

11:40-12:10 pm       Q&A panel discussion for the morning presentations
